How to use YouTube on MiTV2/ Android box when you cannot login




I am a bit sad when I know that I cannot login to YouTube on MiTV2.
I will missed all my playlist etc.  You will get a message as such when you try to login:

This will happen when you are using all the Chinese modified Android version's TV boxes or even TV.  There is a way to install Google Play Store.  If not wrong, it requires rooting of the Android device.  Thus, I am a bit reluctant to do so.

BUT, thanks for google's effort in app development.
There is a simple way to work around using Miracast & Pairing the connected TV.

Steps:

  1. Of course, side load YouTube Google TV apk onto your SmartTV first.
  2. On TV, open YouTube -- click menu button on the TV remote OR go to the option menu on bottom left of TV screen
  3. Choose the "Pair with mobile device" option - You will see a special CODE displayed on TV
  4. On the smartphone, open the Youtube App. 
  5. For Android, click on top right button for setting.  For iOS, Setting is in the menu in top left button.  
  6. Choose "Connected TV" (Top = iOS; Bottom =Android)

  7. Choose "ADD TV"
  8. Enter the CODE displayed on TV
  9. DONE.  If you want to change the name of the TV in your YouTube app, choose the EDIT TV option below ADD TV.
  10. Now to Enjoy:
    • Open YouTube on TV
    • On phone, open YouTube
      • Activate miracast (a square shape with 3 waves) [Same for iOS]
      • Choose the playlist or video you want to show on TV
      • Click play, You will have option to:
        • Play now OR
        • Add to Queue
    • You can then do whatever else with your phone.  The queue/ playlist has been sent and store in TV

Nissan Serena Hybrid 2.0 (2016) - what to do when battery died/ cannot start your car? MALAYSIA
