Love iphone BUT it is getting too expensive (iphone on budget strategy)

I am an iPhone fan staying in Malaysia. My current iPhone is iPhone 6 Plus, it is marking at RM4k at the time I bought it. Now, what would you do if it is time to retire your old iPhone? Obviously you have few options: Switch to Android phone Buy latest iPhone at regular retail price Buy iPhone at the cheapest budget Today, we are only talking about option 3 - Buy iPhone at the cheapest budget. Quick answer is iPhone 6 (4.7" screen)  with 32GB internal storage capacity only - RM1,499. You could have following concerns: Is it a refurbished phone? Isn't iPhone 6 two generations old now? and going to be three Gen old when iphone 8 launch this year. 32GB, this is not sufficient for my photos and videos itself plus many apps I want to install. My answers are as below:  It is new iPhone 6 The speed is still flawless at iOS 10.3.2 and I do not intend to upgrade to iOS 11. It also has a bonus perk, earphone jack. Case 1: If you have been using iPh...

An English Watch Faces Guide for Ticwatch (Ticwear) with iOS [Updated 18May2016]

There is lack of english guide available. I hope I can help the not Mandarin education ticwatch/ ticwear fan to benefit from my sharing. Here you DONT NEED to: Paste files into Window system  Run Command prompt Write ADB coding Install and access FTP Covert Ticwatch to developer mode Ticwatch (http://ticwear.com) Considering i only want the notification on the go and nice watch faces, I have chosen Ticwatch 1st gen (without Apple MFI) = RM800+ include shipment to Malaysia. Winning points: Below RM1,000 which fits the product nature -- a gadget that likely only have 1 year lifespan. Come with metal band Compatible with iOS & Android Android 5 OS overlay with Ticwear OS 3.4 overlay Why this guide has a value? User experience on Android and iOS is very different iOS - limited watch faces & complicated to install new watch faces ( not working most of the time ); App almost non-existence Android - installing new watch faces & app i...

A smart watch selection journey -- As apple fan, why not getting Apple watch?

Quick Smart watch comparative reasons below: Classic Pebble - My favourite meet the purpose watch - reading notification is a breeze. What makes me turn it down? I have 2 classic pebble watches. Both e-ink screen spoiled within 6 months duration. Random scratch line which renders the watch not usable.  The shift from pebble app to pebble time app sometime early 2016 really screwed up everything. Every time the app forces me to update and it always ended up a factory reset of the watch and phone setting.  Best part, pebble classic enjoy no new features. Apple watch It came into my radar... then off away from my list. The watch OS has high requirement on iOS. Watch OS 2 requires iOS9 and above.  Must charge with Apple exclusive charger cost around RM175. I am on iPhone 6 Plus iOS 8.4. I am not going to upgrade -- in the past, Three iPhone i have upgraded, battery life & phone speed screwed up. And, its not compatible with Android.  It means if any...

How to use YouTube on MiTV2/ Android box when you cannot login

I am a bit sad when I know that I cannot login to YouTube on MiTV2. I will missed all my playlist etc.  You will get a message as such when you try to login: This will happen when you are using all the Chinese modified Android version's TV boxes or even TV.  There is a way to install Google Play Store.  If not wrong, it requires rooting of the Android device.  Thus, I am a bit reluctant to do so. BUT, thanks for google's effort in app development. There is a simple way to work around using Miracast & Pairing the connected TV. Steps: Of course, side load YouTube Google TV apk onto your SmartTV first. On TV, open YouTube -- click menu button on the TV remote OR go to the option menu on bottom left of TV screen Choose the "Pair with mobile device" option - You will see a special CODE displayed on TV On the smartphone, open the Youtube App.  For Android, click on top right button for setting.  For iOS, Setting is in the menu in top ...
