This problem bugged me for two days. Where my PS4 cannot connect to internet via Wifi. Message from Test Internet Connection function looks like below: When do Setup Internet Connection, Error NW-31247-7 will occurred. At the same time, all my other devices e.g. laptop and iPhones can connect to internet without issue. Playing games via mobile hotspot works! Action that WONT work: Ask internet service provider (Unifi) to reset port  Restart All PS4, Router & Modem Setup Internet Connection on PS4 again Change Wifi DNS to Google DNS 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.8.4 Solution: Router - "restore factory setting" PS4 - "initialization" --> "restore default setting"--> setup PS4 again Setup PS4 involve mainly language, time zone, wifi, camera (if have) & PS sign-in. Context  I am not staying in US, how to get all these US app & get it working? Summary Create a new PS account (free) make sure country is US. (Do not create sub-account. Connecting PS4 to PC Monitor (DVI/ VGA) - blank screen problem & audio One problem connecting PS4 to a PC monitor is that most of these monitors (at least not the latest or expensive one) only have DVI & VGA port.  It has put me through a numbers of hours what has went wrong? Why didn't the screen show - just blank? What did I use? I bought a HDMI-DVI converter as image attached & use it with a HDMI cable What i get? This adapter works with my mac mini but not PS4. This is a problem that troubled me a long long time. Up to a month.  And this sound is so irritating that i played PS4 much lesser too. What I have tried: Clear all the notifications (it works for one time) Go into sleep mode (at total shutdown -- hold power down for about 8 second and let go once 2nd beep is heard) Rebuild database Update system OS (oddly enough it can keep update the OS with the same OS you already installed) Think i have only not tried to reset and delete all data i have (cos many games are downloaded via PlayStation Plus Free Games -- don't want to lose them) Only after the a long search, one PS4 support forum's thread identify the real problem: The Screw for manual eject of disc drive is loose.
